The best place to get dumplings in Istanbul so far is "Mr. Dumpling", they are located in Kadıköy and Metropol Mall, and serve a very delicious collection of dumplings ranging from meat to vegan. They also have a very nice set of appetizers and soups that sets very nicely with dumplings.
It is true prices can be a bit high, not only for the dumplings, even drinks are overpriced. But bear in mind, one serving can be enough for two if you are not that hungry. The place is Vegans friendly, and vegan options are very tasty.
There is a beautiful set of tables on the street outside where you can enjoy your food while feeling the energy of the place and people waking by.
